Stepping Stones

-- Help for the Homeless --

Stepping Stones Ministry -- reaching out to the homeless. The congregations of the Pilot Mountain Baptist Association have launched a new ministry to homeless people called Stepping Stones Ministry. Homeless families will be identified and invited to join in a covenant agreement with the congregations of PMBA for 24-36 months.

News Update: The Moorefields (Kelsey, Billy, Ashley, Tyson, and Cameron) moved into the residence during the first week of June. They have now been settled for a full two months. Keep this family in your prayers, particularly as they are facing Cameron's next surgery in late August and Billy's back surgery sometime this fall.

Ways to be involved in Stepping Stones:
  • If you have a house or duplex that you would be willing to let Stepping Stones use for 2 0r 3 years (for a tax donation), please contact Karen Taylor (759-7622).
  • We cannot take furniture donations at this time. Please stay tuned though and we will call for more donations as the need arises. We appreciate all of the donations of furniture, time, energy, elbow grease, linens, etc. The response has been incredible!
  • We are looking for additional storage space. Any person or business with available storage space to "lend" us (for a tax donation), please contact us.
  • Soon, we will be needing people of all skill levels to assist with any refurbishing and repair work.
  • This will be a wonderful time to make an end-of-the year monetary donation for Stepping Stones. It is going to take a lot of prayer, money, hard work, and willing hearts to impact the homeless community for Jesus Christ. Help us do it!
